White natural cotton zipper cover; removable but not washable. We haven't tried this ourselves, although it's probably not ideal, but if you're traveling, you should be able to hear the music fairly well throught the nylon travel bag, so that the pillowcase stays sanitary. If you like, you can wash the fast drying nylon bag by hand when you reach your destination. If it's not what you expected, return the merchandise to GSPI, not the manufacturer.
