Fighting Off Climate Change – How Schools Can Campaign Against It?Fighting Off Climate Change – How Schools Can Campaign Against It?

High levels of green gases and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are  the main contributor to the alarming threat of climate change. It’s effect can be heavily felt right now as the glaciers and sea ice in Antarctica are melting rapidly. With that, the people are expected to take more action to fight off against this impending threat.

Today, you’ll find various organisations making a stand against climate change. Among those institutions are schools. Today, you’ll find academies and other related groups working together to promote sustainable and eco-friendly programs. To find out some of the activities schools are implementing here are some of them.

  1. To reduce the school’s carbon footprint, school staff, employees, and even students are encouraged to walk or cycle to school. As you know, traffic is among the major causes of air pollution. Not only does this lessen the emission but it also teaches students and school members how to stay fit and healthy.

  1. Schools are switching now to more sustainable and renewable energy. These options are proven to have cost-efficient and long-term effects as compared to being connected to a power supply company which is not only expensive in price, but are also harmful and bad for the environment.

  1. Schools have been extremely consistent when it comes to waste management and promoting green initiatives. Most, if not all, have been consistent in segregation and organising them into their proper place. Along with that, they encourage students to participate in various activities which teach and get them know about green initiatives.

These are just some of the ways on how schools are battling against climate change. Notice that aside from educating kids about earth conservation, they themselves are also participating in the fight against global warming. They are serving as a good role model to the young ones to show them the real value of saving our planet then when they become adults they will be even more conscious.

We need a new term for Video Games

We need a new term for Video Games

We`re seeing an abundance of new gamesbeing released, and many of them blur the boundaries between video games and different kinds of activities.

Everybody is trying to convince us to get out- or stay in -or just play. Really. Peloton, Netflix, Zoom, TikTok, Amazon, Apple and Google are all either playing or expanding their efforts into video games.

Diggy's Adventure

What`s happening?

Globally, people spend an enormous amount of time playing video games. Established companies in the game industry as well as newcomers are seeking digitally interactive experiments that can increase their share of this money and time.

I`m very excited about this changeeven though my intense video gaming experience ended in the era of BrickBreaker on the Blackberry. It feels as if we`re in the middle reinventing what”a “video game” is, as well as what online idle time could be- more engaging and socialmaybe, and perhaps a little less passive doomscrolling. (Or I`m thinking too much about this. Yeah, it might just be about money.)

Gangstar New Orleans

Whatever the reasons, games may soon feel unavoidable. Zoom has added new featureslike the ability to play trivia, mystery, or poker. Peloton, the maker of exercise bikes that cost $2,500will soon release a game that lets riders use their pedal power to command the virtual wheel that is rolling. Netflix this week announced that it was planning to add video games to itsonline entertainment service. Facebook, TikTok and Amazon as well as Google are all promoting games on video to us or selling subscriptions to games. (The New York Times is going bigger into puzzles and digital games, too.)

Video games have become an industry of immense size and have grown in popularity with the coronavirus epidemic. It`s not a surprise that companies are increasingly looking to purchase a piece. A recent report from Accenture found that the global gaming sales are higher than the combined revenue from music and movies. These figures include conventional video games for consoles as well as smartphones, as well as advertisements in games. Video games also have cultural relevance, as the Olympic organizers have demonstrated this weekby featuring games music during the ceremony that opened.

Because many digital games are quite different from what we thought of as video games like the cinematic realms of Xbox or PlayStation 2. It might be needed to redefine the term “video game.

As smartphones introduced us to simple games that made use of unique features like gyroscopes and mobile internet connections, modern games blur the distinction between video games and different kinds of social events. Although Fortnite, Pokemon Go and Among Us may be video games, they can also be used to host hangouts, social media platforms as well as opportunities to organize political and pop-culture events.

Many of the more recent games are interesting as they signal a shift past a period where mobile and online media frequently mimic what they used to be when podcasts were like radio talk shows, Netflix like TV, and online news outlets like newspapers.

Although games don`t always provide positive social interactionshowever, they do provide a sense that something is happening. More of us are mingling together in order to develop new digital forms that emphasize interaction over the passive reading, watching or listening.

We`ll be seeing more advanced games that are on the technological edge as well as other games that don`t make sense for the game console to test our bodies, minds, as well as social interactions. I`m curious to see what happens to the entire spectrum.

How Do I Teach My Toddler Numbers?

How Do I Teach My Toddler Numbers?

How do I teach my toddler the numbers?

How can I teach my toddler math? Basic addition and subtraction can be taught to your toddler using sums on a card or board. This basic learning is known as “digit adding”. There are many other math skills that can be taught to your child, including fractions and decimals, percentages as well as addition, division and rounding.

How do I teach my toddler numbers

Preoperational learning begins when you teach your child to count by twos and threes, fours and fives. This helps them to multiply each amount by the number that it represents. You will be able to explain the differences between monetary units, grams, and cents to your child. They will understand that one coin equals one cent, while two coins equal two cents.

What age should a child be able to count to 10?

The preoperational stage of toddler learning allows you to decide what your child will be learning through total number set. Sets might include Spanish, French, German, or another foreign language. Each language comes with its own vocabulary and verb combinations. You can choose which verbs and words you want to teach, as well as whether or not you use written words or audio pronunciations.

You might use flash cards or stickers to reinforce concepts with your toddler if you prefer a visual approach. The use of puzzles is a similar technique. Puzzles allow your child to use their brain to solve the problem and gain an understanding of the concept. This is a great way to introduce math concepts to young children who don`t have the patience to use pencils and books.

How high should a two year old count?

The best way is to use a combination of all of these methods. Start teaching them as soon and encourage them to learn to use a simple system. You can also introduce complex concepts slowly, building on simple ones until they are first tackling basic counting and purchasing activities.

What resources do you have to teach this subject? Many resources are available to teach children how they can count and what things they can buy. First, you should find a good book on digital education. Then, find CDs and DVDs that provide a combination of teaching aids. A 5-minute video on buying groceries may include stickers, flashcards, and puzzles.

How can my child learn to add?

Add is an essential skill that every child must master before they spend too long in front the television or playing on games. It is important to use a variety of resources. To teach your child basic addition concepts, a five minute video can be combined with flashcards, puzzles and stickers.

How can I teach my toddler number? It is one of many skills you will need to teach your child, but it is a very important one. You want to start teaching them as soon as possible. Start with simple add-on activities to introduce them to the counting process. Once they have learned the basics, introduce them into advanced math with toys and add-ons. As your child develops, you can then move on to more difficult tasks.

How do you teach your child to read?

As with numbers, there are many ways to teach your children how to read. Start by reading to your child from a book. Then, use finger puppets and finger paints to teach them how to point at pictures. Or, you can use books with associated pictures and numbers.

How can I teach my child spelling words? Check this list of kids educational videosFlash cards, word search puzzles or just their imagination are the best ways to teach them. Ask them questions about the word they are naming and to show them how many times. This can be continued until they master this task. To further reinforce learning, you may add numbers to words.

How do I teach my toddler count? There are a few options here as well. They can be given a toy or a text book that contains numbers. Depending on how precise they can determine the number, they can count from 1 to 10 when they see an item with a number. This is the simplest way to teach toddlers basic counting skills.

Dust Masks and Respirators: Just How Effective Are They?Dust Masks and Respirators: Just How Effective Are They?

Facing the dangers of the world outside our house is inevitable.

Each day, the pollution gets so much worse, and this has led people to seek protection in the form of a dust mask. A lot of researchers have shown that exposure to dust and other potentially toxic airborne particulates have adverse effects on the health of a person – especially the lungs, heart, and even the brain.

As a result, the healthcare system has extended its efforts. In seeking a more effective alternative in shielding people from harmful particles. Environmental organizations have played an important role by establishing national programs and celebrations that aim to reduce urban air pollution and its negative effects on the health of communities.

The Use of Filtered Masks in Preventing the Effects of Air Pollution

Various types of dust masks have started emerging on the market today with particulate respirator masks topping the charts. These face masks are designed to protect the public from dust, allergens, pollutants, pathogenic organisms, and other particles down to 2.5 microns in size. The n95 mask  is a type of particulate respirator with a protection factor of 5. This means that it can block out 95% of air particulates that might compromise the health of a person, assuming that it fits the user’s face perfectly when properly worn.dust masks

With all the facts presented, still, one specific question continues to bug the minds of the people: Just how effective are these particulate masks?

The Effectiveness of Dust Masks Tested by Research

Two researchers in China tested the effectiveness of dust masks in protecting the people of their country. Subjects were made to wear the n95 masks while walking on the streets of Beijing. In their results, they found out that people who were wearing the n95 masks were reported to have lower blood pressure. Particularly noteworthy was that participants with heart problems experienced an improvement in their blood flow and oxygen delivery throughout their bodies.

This result led the researchers to believe that wearing the mask could have a positive effect on the health of a person since they received less exposure to air pollution. However, they are continuously urging environmental scientists to improve and continue doing research on this subject to support the claims.

The  n95 mask is one of the top-performing dust masks to date. With its ability to filter out up to 0.3 microns of particles, you’ll be sure that you will be protected from the adverse effect of air pollution, including harmful gases. It’s also NIOSH approved which means that it’s perfectly safe and efficient.

While dust masks are made in a standard “one size fits all” size for respirator masks, there are various types of these masks depending on their assigned protection factor (APF). If your primary concern is to block out toxic chemical fumes, smoke, or other particulates in the air when you’re working or cleaning, then the particulate mask is the right choice to protect your health and safety.
